HR 1808 is a very draconian bill to ban "assault weapons".  Keep in mind that the Texas penal code defines (essentially) a "deadly weapon" as anything which by design or in the manner of its use is intended to cause serious bodily injury or death (Title 1, Chapter 1, section 1.07.17: https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/docs/PE/htm/PE.1.htm).  In the case of HR 1808, the federal legislature is defining by "looks"., or ammunition capacity....  Any inanimate object when used to assault a person is a deadly weapon, already defined in the Law.  Another law will NOT change anything, except YOUR rights.

Budget Surplus?

When the government collects taxes, and ends up with a surplus, it shows they are collecting too much in taxes.  The "duopoly" will NOT return the tax revenue.  Instead, they WILL find a way to spend it!  Either on government sponsored (read: TAXPAYER SPONSORED) programs, or some other "unforeseen circumstance".  The duopoly is NOT the protector of the people.  We have to stop voting for people who simply do not understand fiscal responsibility.    Libertarian, it is for the future.  Let's rebuild our Foundations!  Turn Texas GOLD!! https://texasscorecard.com/state/texas-could-have-25-billion-surplus-next-year/
